EEC
Ensure Multi Storey Car Park Opens on Schedule
Euro
Environmental Contracts has ensured that a major city centre
multi-storey car park has opened as per the schedule and its
clients avoided substantial financial penalties thanks to
its expertise in pipeline patch lining solutions.
EEC
is regularly called in by main contractors and civil engineers
prior to the handover of projects to carry high pressure jetting
and surveying of drainage.
However
on this particular occasion the drainage system below the
car park had failed an air test and the client had asked EEC
to carry out a full length lining of the pipeline to ensure
the problem was rectified.
Having
discussed the matter at length with the client, EEC’s
Patch Repair Team proposed that each joint would be individually
tested and where defects were found, patch lining would be
carried out to repair the problem.
EEC’s
Project Manager, Gareth Parry-Jones, explained “We are
regularly asked to carry out full length lining however patch
lining provides a more cost effective solution where there
are only a few defects. EEC is one of the most experienced
players in the UK and our teams are highly skilled at both
assessing the situation and implementing the most cost effective
repairs.”
In
doing so EEC saved the main contractor thousands of pounds
by carrying out a handful of localised point repairs as opposed
to the original plan of full length lining the entire pipe.
